Cancellation and Refunds Vancouver

A cancellation fee of $75 ($25 for students) is applied to a cancelled registration. No refunds for in-person registrations will be issued after April 28. In-person registrations can be exchanged for a virtual event registration until May 12 with the difference in price refunded. Substitutions are permitted until April 28. Please request substitutions in writing to: info@rgd.ca. Any registration transferred from an RGD Member to a Non-Member will be required to pay the difference from Member to Non-Member/Group rate.

In the unlikely event that the RGD is not able to proceed with DesignThinkers 2026 as an in-person event in Vancouver, your ticket will be transferred to the virtual event with a refund being provided for any difference in ticket prices. If you do not wish to attend the virtual conference, you will have 10 days from the date of the announcement to request a refund (minus a $75 admin fee).

Code of Conduct

The DesignThinkers Code of Conduct is in place to ensure that all participants feel safe during the conference.

Through the RGD, Canadian designers exchange ideas, educate and inspire, set professional standards and build a strong, supportive community dedicated to advocating for the value of design.

At DesignThinkers, we seek to create a harassment-free conference experience for everyone regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. All participants, including speakers, sponsors and volunteers, are expected to comply with this Code of Conduct to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all in attendance.

Harassment is understood as any behaviour that threatens another person or group, or produces an unsafe environment, including: deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately or risk expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.

If a participant feels this Code of Conduct has been breached, it should be reported to an RGD staff member at the registration desk as soon as possible. You can also email us at info@rgd.ca
