We’ve all sat through vague, contradictory or sugar-coated notes that don’t help.

But great feedback can elevate ideas, sharpen craft and strengthen teams. So what’s the secret to giving clear, kind and empowering notes that elevate both people and the work?

This workshop is for anyone who gives or receives creative direction: junior, senior or sitting in the CD chair. Creatives can generate strong ideas but the review process is often messy, subjective and (most importantly) inconsistent. We blame timelines, briefs, budgets… but rarely examine how we give feedback. This session asks you to look at your own “feedback signature”: what you say, when you say it, how you say it—and what it does to the work and the team.

Like Dominic’s past workshops, this is hands-on with multiple team exercises: live crit role-plays, rewriting vague notes and calibrating taste against real briefs. We’ll simulate high-pressure reviews and tight timelines while practising how to ask better questions, set intent and land decisions. You’ll leave with repeatable tools, comment banks and the confidence to make your feedback indispensable.
