The “Analog Algorithm” Zine

May 26, 3:30 - 4:15 PM

Vancouver Community College, Room 512

In a world obsessed with UX/UI, we often forget that the most important interface is the one between a human and a physical object.

This workshop strips away the screen to focus on the core of information architecture: how do we translate complex data into a seamless, tactile experience? Using the “analog algorithm”, an eight-page folding sequence, you’ll map out a “How-To” manual for a skill only you possess. By prioritizing information hierarchy and instructional icons over dense text, you’ll flex your designer powers to simplify something you love and share it with the world. It’s time to take your favorite hobby or “cheat code” and turn it into a high-functioning piece of instructional art that demonstrates how good design is, above all, a service to the user.
