The “Exquisite Corpse” Collaborative Zine

Thomas Hull

May 27, 3:30 - 4:15 PM

Vancouver Community College, Room 512

Design is rarely a solo sport; it is a symphony of diverse voices working within a shared framework.

In this workshop, we explore the power of “art direction” through a collaborative relay. Each participant will initiate a visual narrative before passing the torch, requiring you to maintain a consistent “brand” and aesthetic language while adapting to the creative input of others. This is a masterclass in the pacing and rhythm found in editorial design, motion design and sequential art—outlining how the “turn of a page” acts as a transition between different perspectives. By the end of the session, we will have produced a printed anthology titled “A Day in the Life at DesignThinkers”, a physical testament to how individual creativity can be engineered into a cohesive, multi-authored brand identity.
